Blue Thermal Glider Club Anime Film's Trailer Previews Theme Song

The official website of the Blue Thermal anime movie announced new visuals, ten additional cast members and a trailer. The movie adaptation of Kana Ozawa's aviation-themed manga will open in theatres in Japan on March 4, 2022, with a screen time of 1 hour 43 minutes. The trailer previews the film's titular theme song "Blue Thermal" by four-member piano rock band SHE'S.

Blue Thermal: Aonagi Daigaku Taiiku-kai Kōkū-bu is a Japanese manga series by Kana Ozawa. It was serialized in Shinchosha's seinen manga magazine Monthly Comic @ Bunch between April 2015 and November 2017 and was collected in five tankōbon volumes. A prequel manga by Ozawa titled Blue Thermal: First Flight has been serialized online via Line Corporation's Line Manga website since November 2021.

The story revolves around Tamaki Tsuru, a freshman at Aonagi University, who was overzealous about volleyball when she was in high school. Following a romantic rejection due to being an athletic girl, she joined the tennis club in college to be less athletic. One day, she accidentally hits Daisuke with a tennis ball as he was transporting a glider, causing damage to it. Tamaki was charged with a repair cost of two million yen, but as she couldn't pay the amount, she joins the sports association aviation club as a helper.
