Sports Anime AOASHI Release Date

AOASHI is also known as Ao Ashi is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yūgo Kobayashi. In 2021 the Publisher Shogakukan opened a new website and announced an anime television series adaptation by Studio Production I.G. The anime will start premiering on April 9th 2022.

Aoashi manga has been serialized in Shogakukan's seinen manga magazine Weekly Big Comic Spirits since January 2015. In 2020, the manga won the 65th Shogakukan Manga Award for the general category.

The series is about Ashito Aoi, a third-year middle school student from Ehime, who meets Tatsuya Fukuda, a "J Youth League" coach. Even though he's still rough around the edges, Ashito has such amazing potential that he gets invited by coach Fukuda to participate in his team's try-outs in Tokyo. The story of the boy who will revolutionize football in Japan begins to unfold.
