Housenka Anime Film Unveiled with Intriguing Concept and Creative Team
**"Housenka" Anime Film Announced with Baku Kinoshita Directing**
An original anime film titled "Housenka" has been announced, with Baku Kinoshita serving as Director and Character Designer. Kazuya Konomoto will provide the original concept and script, while Michinoku Toge handles concept art. CLAP will oversee planning and production.
The story follows Akutsu, an elderly inmate on the brink of a solitary death within his prison cell. As autumn approaches in 2023, a flower called a touch-me-not, capable of human speech, confronts him with the haunting question, "What a rotten life you had." Through their conversations, Akutsu is forced to confront the memories of his past.
In 1986, Akutsu lived with Nana, a woman six years his junior, and her son Kensuke in a modest apartment surrounded by touch-me-not flowers. The film intertwines this nostalgic tale with the story of a dying yakuza's triumphant comeback and the poignant memories shared by the flower that now blooms within Akutsu's prison cell.
